Change in Leadership

At the recent July meeting of the RDHS Board of Management the role of Chair changed hands.

Peter Campisi, Chair since 1998, is due under government regulations to retire from the Board in June 2018.  In true form Peter felt it was best to vacate the Chair position and be available to support and mentor the new Chair during his last year on the Board.

Peter has provided strong leadership to the RDHS Board of Management for a period of 33 years, 19 years as Chair.

Peter has overseen many great improvements over the years bringing Robinvale and District Hospital and Robinvale & District Nursing Home to Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS).  RDHS is known throughout Victoria and indeed nationally as a vibrant and innovative health service.

Peter hands over the health service in a very “healthy” state.  RDHS provides a very diverse range of health programs focusing on “wellness” to our Multi-Cultural community by a very committed and professional staff.  The Health service is a 1st class facility and the recent project of solar energy is the crowning glory that Peter enthusiastically approved.

Peter has also provided exceptional stewardship in finances and the health service is ensured a sustainable future.

Quentin Norton, (previously the Deputy Chair) was unanimously endorsed as the new Chair of RDHS.  Quentin is well known in the community not only in his professional capacity as a Paramedic Officer based in Robinvale but he has extensive involvement in community groups as a volunteer.  Quentin has in the past, been a member of REACT and now the Robinvale Improvement Group (RIG) and Mallee Almond Blossom Festival Committee.

Quentin is also currently the Chair of the Robinvale Network House Committee and member of the Robinvale Ambulance Auxiliary.  Quentin’s professional career commenced as an Ambulance Officer in Robinvale for 4 years prior to moving to the NT for paramedic training, before returning home qualified, 7 years ago.  Energy levels is not in question as Quentin also maintains a balanced family life with his wife Judy and 3 young children. Quentin has been on the board for 7 years and is now keen to start his work on moving RDHS on into the future with his fellow Board members and the Health Services’ Executive and staff of RDHS.
