Mental Health Resource Library available at RDHS
A library designed to assist patients / consumers, carers, staff and the general public to access mental health resources.
Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS) has currently resources with a mental health library for the community. The library collection is designed to improve mental health understanding within our community with the aim of demystifying mental illness and reducing the stigma.
The books cover a range of topics and are available to suit various ages; storybooks for young children through to factual information aimed at teenagers and adults. The collection includes resources on; Asperger’s Spectrum Disorder, Grief and Loss, Suicide, Depression, Anxiety, Peri and Postnatal, Eating Disorders, Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, LGBTI, Family Violence and Sexual Abuse. Mindfulness has also been included as current evidence based practice highlights the effectiveness in a range of both physical and mental health illnesses. The collection will be held at RDHS Health & Wellbeing Centre and community members can access and borrow the items for up to four weeks at a time.
