RDHS Celebrate International Nurses Day

It was an opportunity to thank our dedicated staff for their efforts throughout the year. Like many emergency service workers, shift work often means that nurses miss important family functions as well as the simple tasks others take for granted like being there to put your children to bed each night.

Nurses are also present for some of the lowest points in someone’s life and maintain a professional approach through it all. The spectrum is wide – from holding the hand of a resident as they take their last breath to working tirelessly to save a life in the Urgent Care Centre.
