No. RDHS does not have a resident doctor on site; however the local GPs offer an on call visiting service after hours for emergencies only.
As a Private Patient with appropriate hospital cover you will have no out-of-pocket expenses for your hospital stay ( e.g. hospital accommodation, no gap fee, pathology, radiology). The revenue and savings generated from the use of private health insurance enable RDHS to maintain and improve existing services as well as to develop new initiatives for this community and by using you private health insurance you are making a real contribution to our future.
At times you may encounter waiting periods at RDHS Primary Care to see Clinicians but our staff will accommodate and ensure that urgent clients are prioritised accordingly.
