Farewell to RDHS Manager Primary Care, Pieter Uys
On Tuesday 15th January 2019, RDHS joined to farewell Pieter Uys – Manager Primary Care.
Pieter commenced with RDHS in September 2011 – relocating to Robinvale from New Zealand to further his podiatry career.
Pieter’s role allowed him to service the Robinvale, Euston, Manangatang, Balranald and Wentworth communities which provided him with a broad scope of practice, particularly in the areas of his interest – Diabetes and Wound Management .
Pieter was known for his gentle, caring nature which resulted in many clients requesting him at their appointment.
Pieter expressed his interest in management and in April 2017 he was appointed to the role of Manager Primary Care. This was new territory for Pieter as the Primary Care portfolio can be challenging due to the number of contracts with our funding bodies. Pieter excelled in this role and created a great rapport with staff, clients and external bodies.
Pieter and his wife Priscilla have made the hard decision to return home to New Zealand to be closer to their families and friends. We wish them all the best for their future.
