Lets Celebrate Occupational Therapy Week (22nd October 2017 – 28th October 2017)

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is a health profession concerned with promoting independence, health and wellbeing in people through occupation. Occupation here refers to activities that a person engages in in their everyday lives.
How can Occupational Therapy help you?
Occupational Therapists work with people of all abilities and ages to do the things they want to and need to do through the use of:
- Therapeutic activities such as play therapy, handwriting interventions and sensory integration therapy.
- Equipment such as shower chairs, pressure care mattresses and bed poles.
- Modifications to home environments such as grab rails and ramps.
