If you’re on the lookout for an Aussie adventure, look no further than Robinvale!
Located in North-West Victoria on one of the most beautiful and user-friendly stretches of the mighty Murray River, the regional town of Robinvale is widely considered one of the most diverse and multi-cultural communities in the state of Victoria.
And at Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS), that’s something we’re very proud of, and it reflects in our workforce.
Robinvale’s population of around 8,000 people is comprised of more than 45 different nationalities including Vietnamese, Malaysian, New Zealander, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Tongan, Samoan and Fijian, with an estimated 40 per cent of Robinvale’s residents having been born overseas.
The traditional land owners are the Latji Latji people, and to this day Robinvale boasts a large Indigenous Australian population that as a community, we are extremely proud of.
Community members from various cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions all come together to make up the diverse and exciting town of Robinvale, with many coming to the area for employment and now calling Robinvale their permanent home.
Steeped in history, Robinvale is an agricultural and horticultural hub, with a warm Mediterranean climate ideal for table and wine grapes, olive groves, almonds, pistachios, carrots, citrus fruit, avocados and much more.
Suited to both families and solo travellers alike, Robinvale has everything you need to live a life of comfort and adventure, including schools, retail stores, an array of churches, places of worship, sporting clubs including rugby, football, basketball, netball, cricket and more, and not to mention delicious cuisine from around the globe!
Robinvale is also connected to Euston, on the New South Wales side of the river by a bridge, with RDHS servicing both townships and residents.
As a rural community that it is still easily accessible and connected to larger towns, the nearest airport and rural city (Mildura) a short 45-minute drive away, Swan Hill under 2 hours drive, and Melbourne and Adelaide around 5 hours, you’ll have everything you need at your disposal! Robinvale has everything you need to start your Aussie adventure, and really is the best of both worlds!
Whether it’s shopping in the retail hub Perrin Street, exploring the many historic attractions including Robinswood Homestead and the Rural Life Museum, strolling along the scenic walking tracks, fishing, water skiing, swimming or camping along the Murray, or enjoying a feast at one of the local eateries, you really will feel right at home in the idyllic town of Robinvale – we’ll make sure you do!
