PODIATRIST – Grade 2 or Grade 3 (Full time)
Robinvale District Health Services is seeking an enthusiastic Podiatrist – Grade 2 or Grade 3 Team Leader to work in a full-time basis (80hrs per fortnight, including ADO’s – ongoing) to join our multi- disciplinary Primary Care team. This position will provide the environment for an achiever to deliver a range of flexible service models including individual and group consultation, health promotion and education to address the health needs of each community. Services are provided in a variety of locations, including community health centres, hospitals, residential aged care facilities and community venues.
Grade 2
The Grade 2 Podiatrist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive community based Podiatry services across Robinvale and surrounding areas. The caseload is complex and covers a diverse population.
Your role would typically include:
- General treatment
- Nail surgery
- Biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescription
- Neurovascular assessment
Grade 3- Team Leader
The Grade 3 Podiatry Team Leader works as part of the Primary and Community Services team, although has a priority focus on Podiatry service delivery and Podiatry team support.
The Podiatry Team Leader possesses a higher level of clinical competence and experience, however is still involved in direct client care, both onsite and offsite, including Outreach services and health promotion activities to address the health needs of the community.
The caseload is spread across a variety of locations including: RDHS Health and Wellbeing centre, acute hospital, aged care facilities, home-based, Outreach clinics and other locations that can arise.
The Podiatry Team leader will be expected to work with students and Allied Health Assistants.
Job Requirements:
Grade 2
- Bachelor of Health Sciences (Podiatry) or equivalent;
- Registration with the Australian Podiatry Council and AHPRA
- Broad clinical background;
- At least two years’ experience working as a Podiatrist
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Police Check & WWCC
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Grade 3
- Bachelor of Health Sciences (Podiatry) or equivalent;
- Registration with the Australian Podiatry Council and AHPRA
- At least five years’ experience as a Grade 2 Podiatrist or equivalent title
- Current membership with Australian Podiatry Association
- Qualifications and/or experience in leadership and management.
- Experience and understanding of issues specific to provision of services in rural and remote areas.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Current driver’s license
- Current Police Check & WWCC
