RDHS New Parents Group
All parents having their first baby are invited to attend to a new parents group.

Each week a different topic is presented, baby massage, dental care, foods for babies, safety issues, development of the baby in the first year of life, to name a few.
Family planning and women’s health, post-natal depression, and changes in a family dynamics, are also topics discussed to share with the parents.
Guest speakers are invited to share their knowledge and offer information; this gives added interest to those present, and can promote local services.
Lots of informal discussion about babies and sharing experiences is welcomed by many of the mothers in a safe environment.
Normally these groups are conducted in an 8 week block and usually the groups continue to meet after the group has finished in an informal social setting or attending the local playgroups .It is a great way to make connections for both parent and baby.
